Please continue to tell the stories. One day you won’t be there to tell them. Sorry, a little dark but I lost my mom recently and I’ll never hear the stories again. 💜
Oh maybe you don’t have to cut back on telling your fam the “history of the ornaments” stories. Maybe make a video holding each one and retelling them, or put it in a little diary with descriptions or pictures. Someday, they might want to hear them again or share them with their own kiddos!
I am so glad you have taken up drinking coffee again!! Your “Friday Five” entries have taken on a noticeable joy and lightness with the “voice” of the confident, talented writer you have always been. Your entries filled with self-doubt and questioning your talent made me crazy! I wanted to reach across the internet and hug you! I cannot wait for your future publications and book tours once again!
I have a similar ornament, with a mouse in a walnut shell, that I took when my Mom was downsizing her ornaments. I wish I could share a picture here.♥️ I so look forward to reading this next book of yours. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Sarah! ✨
So sorry about Scooter 😞 does this call for a Scooter shrine to commemorate the hours of devotion and dedication? I have taken to referring to the pandemic time perception as a tesseract. I feel it. And I appreciate the sweetness and earnestness of the birds. I love feeding them yet get frustrated with the other creatures who want to gobble up the food too, then I have to stop myself and say,” but they’re hungry too…”. Thank you for your kindness. Your words are a gift.
I always enjoy these Sarah, but something about this week just brightened my whole day. Take comfort in knowing you have a reader in Oregon with the same bird feeder habits as you do!
Thank you for sharing! I've also forced myself to take a break from writing this month. "Is 250k words in the last six months not enough for you?" I yelled at my brain as she begged me to let her write more. Rest always makes the writing come back stronger.

Hi! Thank you for this, really enjoyed reading, as always!
Poor scooter, keep us updated if you plan to get a Scooter 2.0.
"Hope and stubbornness are powerful things by themselves. Together, they can carry you through" - Love this! Powerful words...

Thank you for sharing with us! I too have a black and white type of personality, I just tried explaining this to my sister yesterday to no avail.
Thank you, thank you, thank you - this always brightens my day!
